One thing I learnt in the Western region of Uganda is never go to the so called posh places.
The local media here is always looking for stories to market their newspapers so one may fall victim if not careful.
Being a private person, i selected a kafunda in Kabale where all my drinking will be done and football matches be watched. The owner is a friendly guy who is an agriculturalist so while i’m there, I learn a few farming skills.
Everything here is cheap unlike Kampala where it takes transport of 3,000 to find a bar selling cheap beer. And for one to finish 50k, you may have to call all the friends you have ever met and i doubt if they can finish it.
Before i arrived here, playing pool was something i never thought i’d do but now atleast i can stand a competitive game with less than 3 of my balls.
When it comes to the fairer sex, these humans are naturally beautiful unlike Kampalans who layer themselves with chunks of make-up. But most of the babes here are local, some don’t even have phones so if you want to meet her, you may have to call one of her friends to deliver the message.
Going out to new places exposes one to new experiences and guides them on their self discovery journey.
So leave home and go discover who you really are.
